Echo Chambers Support
The maze you can only hear
Questions, problems, or ideas? Email [email protected] (yes, that's the right address for Echo Chambers too) and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Helpful things to include: your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Common questions
I can't see anything. That is the game. Nothing is lit until you make a sound: tap the sound side of the screen to send out a pulse, and the walls it reaches will show for a moment. The tutorial on first run covers all of it, and you can read it again from the menu.
How do the controls work? One side of the screen moves you, the other makes sound — tap for a pulse, hold for a hum that lights further but drains faster, double-tap for a cone ahead of you, and drag to throw a stone that clatters where it lands. Left-handed players can swap the sides in Options.
Everything keeps hearing me. It should. Every sound you make to see by is a sound that something else can follow. A thrown stone is the exception: it pulls them towards where it landed rather than towards you.
I ran out of breath. Breath is spent on sound and it does not refill mid-level, so the game is really about how little sound you can manage. Clearing a level quietly earns a better rating than clearing it at all.
The sound stopped after I switched apps. Return to the game and tap the screen once — audio is rebuilt on your first touch after coming back. If it stays silent, please email us with your device and iOS version.
What is free, and what does the purchase unlock? The first three sets — thirty levels — and the daily maze are free forever. One payment unlocks everything else: the later sets, the famous mazes, and the endless descent. It is a single purchase, not a subscription, and there are no adverts either way.
How does the daily maze work? Everyone in the world gets the same maze each day, built from the date. Clear it on consecutive days to build a streak.
How do the leaderboards work? Three, through Game Center: today's maze by fastest time (it resets every day), the longest daily streak you have ever run, and the deepest you have gone in the endless descent. Signing in to Game Center is optional — decline it and the rest of the game is unchanged.
I lost my progress / I've reinstalled. Progress is stored on the device, so deleting the app clears it. Your purchase is not lost: use Restore Purchases in Options.
